Just like many Kenyans I love to watch Nollywood movies, I love their originality and creativity. Nigerian lifestyle and fashion is so well depicted on their movies, their lavish spending, grooming, the big houses furnished well and cars. One can get glued on the movies all day.
In most Nigerian Movies the women and men wear very
nice Agbadas the Nigerian traditional attire.
I found this photo on this website with Nigerian Agbadas, See more here.

The Wedding Show
The Wedding Show is one of Citizen TV very interesting programs presented by Ms. Noni Gathoni. It is normally aired on Sundays at 6pm and repeats on Wednesday around midday. This is one of my best programs, actually Citizen TV has very unique programs most of them are locally produced.
Even though I wedded some years back, just like many people especially ladies I admire weddings. I love to attend wedding just to see how the bride, the groom and their parties look like, the decorations, the choice of colors, the presentation of the reception and of course to enjoy the food. It is somewhere to learn, to copy, to criticize and to admire.
The wedding show is one show that one can get to see different types of fashions, ideas on how to plan a wedding and to get a feeling of modern weddings. This makes me feel like repeating mine but I have no regret because every wedding is unique in its own way.
Keep it up Citizen!

Christmas attire
When we were kids Christmas would be no Christmas without new clothes, our parents especially our mothers would also buy new clothes for themselves, but now most parents don’t see the need of buying a new clothes for themselves only for the kids.
If I were a mother who still sticks to old tradition of wearing a new outfit during Christmas, I would buy go for excellent African attire, preferably from West Africa to grace this wonderful occasion.
So I took a wild search on the web to see where I can get a good African attire and got these ones

from online fashion show featuring Nigerian fabrics and decided to post it on my African fashion blog.

Kitenge & Khanga fabric designs

These are some Kitenge fabric designs by Metro Exports
I had a chance to buy similar Kitenge fabrics when I visited Dar es Salaam. They were really cheap and good designs that one could choose from. The best thing about these Kitenge fabrics is that they don’t fade.
They also have some good quality Khangas (Leso), see prints below. They usually print interesting Swahili sayings on the Leso.
